It's really great to see that the Pikes website is up and running again and that this fans' forum has been added to it! I do hope that the forum will work because long-distance fans like myself (I live in France) can cheer on the Pikes alongside those who can actually attend matches! It could also encourage more fans to contribute to the website or help with fundraising. I have a couple of articles on the site myself and if I didn't live abroad I could have helped with fundraising, too, since it was part of my professional background. The more interesting the website is the more likely it will succeed. So....come on all you Pikes' fans, wherever you live, support Alasdair, the team and the club and keep the website and this forum going!

Hi Chris good to see such high praise of the website. I realised its been really lacking recently and new things are being thought of and added all the time. I just hope that people do wish to add to the site.
Have you read the Archive section? I was wondering if there was anything you wanted to write on the history of the club? Also do you mind perhaps updating the Vase and Cup articles every year to keep up with the competition? I hope that these will be an interesting part of the archive also.
This is a massive project and all help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Alasdair

Yes, I hope that more people will join the forum. Not many members yet, but there's plenty of time. Has the forum been publicised anywhere yet, e.g. match programmes and internal notes to all the CFC teams?
I haven't looked at the Archive section for a while, but I'll do this soon. Of course, I'd be happy to update the Vase and Cup articles and I'll send the updated copy to you by separate email. I'll continue to do this every year.
Gerry Gregory kindly sent me a copy of Steve Adamson's great book celebrating the Pikes' 30 years in senior non-league football. There's some really fascinating stuff in it and maybe I can come up with a series of short articles based on facts, figures and other data contained in the book and from other sources. I'll get back to you on this.
If you would rather email me direct on any of this, please do so, you should have my email address!
